Dine-in only
Written each morning around what arrived that day. If it is on the page, it is in season.
Bread, pasta, stock and ice cream are made here. The oven is lit at six.
Half the room is kept for people who did not plan ahead, every night.

We opened with six tables, one oven and a menu written on a chalkboard each morning. Most of that still holds: the board is now a printed page, but it still changes with what arrived at the market.
The kitchen is open to the room on purpose. You can see the fish go on the pass and the pizza come out of the oven, and the cooks can see whether you liked it.
“The short rib is the best thing I have eaten this year, and I say that having had it four times.”
“We turned up at eight on a Friday with no booking and they found us a table at the bar. Dinner was lovely.”
“Took my parents for their anniversary. The private room was quiet and the staff never rushed us.”
Yes, for any size. Half the room stays open for walk-ins, so a Tuesday without a booking is usually fine; a Saturday is not.
The menu marks vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, and the kitchen can adapt most plates with a day's notice.
The private room seats 14 at one long table, with a set menu from $65 a head. Ask us for the current one.
Street parking on Harbour Street after 6 pm, and the municipal lot on Church Street is a two-minute walk.
